My Story . . . .
As a professional photographer I've been shooting with various digital cameras for several years. I personally experienced the "card not formatted, would you like to format your card" error after taking a series of irreplaceable photographs at the Grand Canyon.
These photographs were for a client who had paid-in-advance for a large format canvas print (84 inches wide) of the Grand Canyon. The photo shoot portion of his project involved a 1500 mile round trip with lots of time invested. After making the trip and returning to San Diego my compact flash card presented me with the dreaded "card not formatted" message.
After getting over the feeling of wanting to throw up, I started looking for a way to recover my photographs. Following extensive research and my own 20 years of engineering experience, I developed a process to recover my missing photographs. Long story short, I was able to recover my mysteriously missing photos and was able to complete my client's project without having to make another trip to the Grand Canyon.
Since then I've experienced a similar issue a couple more times, and each time, my recovery process has been successful in recovering my photographs.
Realizing that everyone is gradually moving over to digital cameras I began offering photo recovery services as one of the services offered by my company San Diego Photos and Prints.
My recovery process works on most digital camera flash memory cards and microdrives.
In my experience, most flash cards are recoverable, though about 15% are not, due to an internal component failure, physical damage to the card, or because the camera system totally wiped the memory card clean. My recovery process will also recover video files and any other files on the card, including .doc .exe .raw .crw and more.
There are many variables that can affect whether a particular recovery will be successful. Due to this, I offer a FREE flash card analysis to determine if your photographs are still on the card and if they can be recovered. If I am unable to recover your photographs, the only thing you pay is return postage.
Feel free to give me a call to discuss your particular recovery challenge. Please keep in mind, that I am in San Diego, California and prefer to receive phone calls between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
